Johan Jacob Schweppe founded the Schweppes Company in Geneva in 1783 to originally sell carbonated water. Jacob Schweppe, who was the first person to discover this was also the first to discover carbonated water could be stored in bottles and from here began to expand his empire. In 1792, he moved to London to further expand and by 1969, the Schweppes Company merged with Cadbury to become Cadbury Schweppes. After many successful years as a Giant in the soft drinks industry, the company was split in 2008, with its US soft drinks unit becoming owned by Keurig Dr Pepper.  Schweppes introduced ginger ale to their range of soft drinks available on the market in 1870 and its popularity has ever grown since.

Ginger Ale is a refreshing ginger flavoured drink with a more subtle undertone than ginger beer. It is perfect to mix with vodka but can also be very flavoursome and refreshing on its own. It is a sparkling soft drink with extracts of ginger. By using a unique blend of naturally sourced gingers, subtle  flavours and spring water, Schweppes have created a delicious Ginger Ale with an authentic and refreshing taste. Perfectly balanced to enhance the flavour  of the finest whiskies, bourbons and rums.
